Over 50 lucky Planet teal members participated in an exclusive workshop yesterday. “Building Resilience in Your Child” was a session that was put together by psychologist Simon Andrews. Simon, with help from power player Alipate Carlile, and PAFC legend Russell Ebert, taught these eager young power supporters the value of being resilient in all areas of your life – school, sport, and family life.
Alipate was quick to share that three of his fellow players that he has looked up to whilst at the club, mainly due to their resilience (never give-up attitude), are Tredders, Toby Thurstans, and D-Rod. D-Rod also happens to be Alipate’s 2nd cousin!
After the workshop was completed, Alipate signed autographs and posed for photos with some of his biggest fans. The group was then given the special opportunity to go on a tour of Alberton and the facilities at the Allan Scott Power Headquarters, once again lead by Russell.
There are more school holiday opportunities coming up for Planet Teal Members. Come and see us at Harbourtown this Thursday & Friday (July 9th & 10th) for the “Power through Harbourtown” activities. Anyone can participate for a gold coin donation with proceeds going to the Starlight foundation.
Then next Thursday, July 16th, we are holding our annual Footy & Funk day, where kids will be able to learn some moves from the Power Funk squad, then participate in a footy clinic lead by Power players. (bookings essential for Footy & Funk Day)
